Model Checker

Installation Procedure

To begin installation of the Autodesk Model Checker for Revit, locate the MSI installer package downloaded from the Features page and double-click to initiate. The installation will prepare and extract all necessary files needed to complete the set up.

Installation Procedure

Once the installation files have been prepared accordingly, you will be prompted to initiate the step-by-step process by left-clicking the "Next" icon.

Installation Procedure

You will then be asked to install for "Everyone" or "Just Me". The default is "Everyone" and typically should be used, unless some network requirement requires you to install the add-in on a user by user basis.

Installation Procedure

The next prompt is to select a destination folder for all necessary installation files. By default, all files will be directed to a local C:\ drive, and the default location should be used, if possible. Left-click the "Browse..." icon to browse to locate a new destination.

Installation Procedure

Once a destination folder has been specified, you will be ready to install the Model Checker onto your workstation. Left-click the "Install" icon to initiate the final component of the installation.

Installation Procedure

The installer will process all necessary program features and components automatically, and a status bar will provide real-time updates on the progress of the installation. Left-click the "Cancel" icon to terminate the installation at any point.

Installation Procedure

Once all program features and components have been installed in their entirety, you will be notified that the installation is complete. Left-click the "Finish" icon to complete the installation.

Silent Installs

"Silent" installation alleviates the need for step-by-step prompting when running MSI installer packages. Using the "/passive" switch will only show only a progress bar to the end user, and install the application using the "Everyone" option.

To install silently for the current user only, use "/passive ADDINFOLDER=%appdata%".

Autodesk Deployment

The BIM Interoperability Tools that are Revit add-ins can be added to a standard Autodesk Deployment to make installation to multiple workstations simple. Using this method, you can only install the application using the "Everyone" option.

To use, simply add the MSI in the Additional Software section of the deployment wizard. For each MSI you add, you must add the Command Line Parameter
    INSTALLDIR="C:\Program Files (x86)\Autodesk\"
Please be sure that the folder path is in quotes.
